Vikranth Harthikote Nagaraja Areas of Interest Vikranth's research interests are in the following areas: upper limb prostheses (adult and paediatric versions); motion analysis (marker-based and inertial-sensor-based); musculoskeletal modelling; compensatory movements; medical device design; 3D-printing & affordability; medical device/clinical trials; biomedical signal processing; and translational research. About me Vikranth H. Nagaraja is a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Natural Interactions Lab, Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford, working on medical devices. His research focusses primarily on affordable prosthetic arms for low and middle-income settings. He holds a DPhil in Biomedical Engineering (Healthcare Innovation) from the University of Oxford, where he specialised in the biomechanics and musculoskeletal modelling of prosthetic arm usage. He is also a Research Associate of the Oxford India Centre for Sustainable Development at Somerville College, Oxford. His current focus is on the development of a novel body-powered, low-cost, 3D-printed paediatric prosthetic arm for resource-constrained settings.
He holds a Master's degree in Product Design from CPDM, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Additionally, he has three years of industrial experience with General Electric Company and Hindustan Motors as a Product Engineer in Bangalore. | |
