Prof Amaresh Chakrabarti

Prof. Amaresh Chakrabarti is a Senior Professor and current Chairman of the Centre for Product Design & Manufacturing, IISc Bangalore. He is an Honorary Fellow of the Institution of Engineering Designers UK, He is the co-author of DRM, a Design Research Methodology, which is used widely as a framework for design research. He founded IDeAS Lab - India's first Design Observatory, co-initiated India's first Smart Factory Lab, and also heads IISc-TCS Innovation Lab, IISc Press, and Springer International Book Series on Design Science & Innovation.

Dr Shakuntala Acharya

Dr Shakuntala Acharya is an Assistant Professor at Dept. of Desgn, Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IITG). She completed her PhD at IDeAS Lab, Centre for Product Design & Manufacturing, IISc Bangalore. Her research interests lie in the areas of Design Conceptualisation, Creativity and Innovation; Sustainability and Environmentally-benign Design; Design pedagogy, Problem-based Learning, Design Thinking and Design methodology.

Mr Apoorv Bhatt

Mr. Apoorv Bhatt is a PhD student at IDeAS Lab, Centre for Product Design & Manufacturing, IISc Bangalore. He is author/ co-author of 10 international papers in the area of design, creativity & design education. He did his BTech in Mechanical engineering from CHARUSAT, Gujarat and MTech in Mechanical engineering from Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gujarat. His research interests include Design thinking Process, Creativity, Education and Learning.

Mr Sanjay Singh

Mr. Sanjay is a Doctorate Student in Design Engineering at Indian Institute of Science Banglore. He did his B.Tech from KIIT University and M.Tech from IIT BHU in Mechanical Engineering. He has experience related to industry and education sectors both. With interest in Design and Manufacturing, he is working in the field of Design Creativity and Algorithms. He also have some interest in Automotive domain. A table tennis player and free hand sketcher.

Mr Kausik Bhattacharya

Mr. Kausik Bhattacharya is a PhD student at IDeAS Lab, Centre for Product Design & Manufacturing, IISc Bangalore. An engineering graduate from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, Kausik worked for more than 20 years in engineering and healthcare companies with hands-on experience in technical systems design, services design, design optimization, design informatics and user experience. His area of interest includes design creativity, analogical reasoning, and AI & Automation.
