AIEDAM - ZAPSupport-Mail - EmailStart

Documentation Support > Mail > EmailStart

Format:   (:zap emailstart="<time>":)

Requirements to Use: ZAP | ZAP Toolbox

Explanation: If this field is included in the form, ZAP will not send the email messages immediately but create a page in the NewsQueue group containing the list of email addresses, email batch and throttling settings, plus the subject, sender, and body of the message--based on a timestamp. The default NewsQueue group can be changed on the Site.ZAPConfig page.

When the Mail Queue markup is processed (often this is done by CRON), any pages whose time indicates it is due to be sent are processed. Logs of sent mail are created. See Mail Queue for more details.

The emailstart field should be assigned a timestamp, often created by ZAP's time variable markup?. Timestamps more than one year in advance generate a warning message. If no timestamp is supplied, the current time is used, indicating the messages are ready for immediate sending.

ZAP's scheduling system can be used with Email, Email List, and Email News.

As a security feature, this command can ONLY be set using the (:zap field="value":) format.
